Student life at Baruch is held back in a number of ways (yes, by Baruch administration but even more so by CUNY admin) because of policies that simply do not fit what is ultimately one of the most crowded campuses in CUNY.
It is accessible by multiple means of public transportation and Madison square park is nice. Baruch had a nice personality but definitely friend-zoned. Haven’t actually taken any classes yet since I’m an incoming freshman so I can’t really say much HOWEVER I really do appreciate that Baruch is so affordable.Finally done with Baruch and will be graduated, so I've decided to compile a list of professors I've had since my time at Baruch. Harry Davis actually cares, unlike other professors, and sends every student a private email updating them on their grades on a weekly basis (he has like 400 students). Just make sure not to make or join any outside chat!!! He specifically prohibits that, and a lot of people got in trouble when I was in his class for that.
Jaclyn Novak Lutz. Marcus Dargan, best prof I’ve had so far, very generous with grading, let’s you re do assignments for full credit as long as you have a first attempt. Participation is a huge part for him tho bc he basically forces you to participate with his icebreakers. Try to avoid Annie Mak. She’s terrible.
Baruch is a commuter school, meaning majority of the students here didn't have or get daddy's money for NYU Stern.
